Girona

Girona, which is the town 100kms from Barcelona (the place where I flew in
via Ryan Air) and famous for the amazing riverside architecture.
Girona is the birth place of Salvador Dali.
Since my flight to Rome was later in the day
I spent much of the afternoon here wondering
about admiring this town.

The Famous houses of Girona.
While in Barcelona a chap at the hostel said that
during the old days people of Girona
competed with each other to build along the banks of this river.

I was staying at the Graffiti Hostel a rough but affordable place to lay my
head for a couple of nights is sited 15mins walk from the Sagrada Familia a very large
church that was designed by Antoni Gaudi. The foundations for this began in in 1882
and is still being built the estimate time of completion is 2030.
